Sunflowers are not a dainty flower; so don't expect my paintings of them to be dainty! Rather they are bold and crude like crunchy, nutritious granola. My sunflower paintings don't stoop nor creep about; rather they stand tall, solid and forthright whether alone or in the cheerful company
 of its brethren.

I enjoy painting sunflowers; it is a nurturing process, which doesn't allow me to stay in negative emotions for long for the sunflower, uplifts the spirit with its friendly and cheerful face, which always follows the sun.

I paint because I need to express emotions that I haven't found words to describe. Color guides me when making decisions about my work. There is no particular technique that I employ; rather I begin a painting by determining what color I feel to paint with and I go from there.

I'm quite tactile with my paints squeezing a tube of mushy, deep, bold, pure color, dabbing the paint on the canvas with my fingers letting each finger glide and dance across the surface until
I find my image.
