Why nudity?
Self,Reflected promotes nudity for a few important reasons.
Nudity is Natural
As much as we appreciate fashion for its ability to decorate the body and express personality, the truth remains that fashion hides the pure, natural beauty of the body.
Over time, this covering of our bodies has evolved into our "natural" state and our nude state has evolved into the novel state. We then start to believe that our natural state is abnormal which leads to an unhealthy mental state about our own natural bodies.
It's important to constantly remind ourselves that the human body is a manifestation of nature's magnificence. Just as we celebrate the magnificence of a coral reef, a rain forest or a sunset, we must remember to celebrate our own natural beauty.
Freedom of Choice
Self,Reflected promotes freedom of choice for women. We believe it's important that women feel free about their bodies, and perceive their bodies as art.
Here at Self,Reflected we proudly welcome and feature women from all walks of life, ages, shapes and sizes and provide to them a respectful, empowering environment to express their nude bodies in front of the camera. We encourage, support and promote these women because we believe that they can be a source of inspiration for other women by helping other women accept and embrace the beauty of their own bodies.
