How do we empower our community to reach its full potential? In the world of personal finance, the practise of "paying yourself first" is considered to be the cornerstone of wise personal financial planning. At Self,Reflected we apply that same concept to community. We do this by investing in our community first.
Self,Reflected demonstrates "paying our community first" by providing photography at no charge to emerging artists, businesses and individual women within our community. We also help promote aspiring artists and entrepreneurs by creating a web presence for them and also promote their art and business in Self,Reflected promotional printed material that is distributed throughout our community. The individual, artist and business receive copies of all of the images for their own personal and promotional use.
Only after these artists and businesses start generating revenue do we ask for reinvestment back into Self,Reflected. However, it is up to each individual, artist or businesses to decide what our work is worth to them. We operate on a sliding scale of back-end compensation for the images and promotions that we provide.
Self,Reflected believes that we help empower our community to reach its greatest potential by providing these services and resources to our community. We then ask the greater community to invest in Self,Reflected through sponsorship and purchasing of Self,Reflected related products and services so that we can continue to pay our community first.
